Gulf first, or towards Pampelonne?

For a shorter outing, describe the pleasures you want within the Gulf of Saint-Tropez: a view of the waterfront, time on the water and a meal together. Do not turn every visible town into a scheduled landing. Sainte-Maxime can be part of a coastal discussion, but seeing its shore and arranging a pickup there are different requests.

More practical details

Pampelonne belongs in a peninsula plan with its own passage and return assessment. Say whether you want time aboard near that coast or a visit to a shore venue. A restaurant reservation does not arrange a tender, a suitable landing or the yacht’s itinerary. The captain and shore provider need to confirm those connections for the day.

Read the current model carefully

Princess lists the current F55 at 16.56 metres including the pulpit, with a beam of 4.52 metres. The manufacturer describes three guest cabins with six berths, an aft galley and adaptable exterior seating. Its current material includes a walk-around transom. Earlier F55 examples may differ, so the model name should always be accompanied by the offered yacht’s build year, layout and recent photographs.

More practical details

Those six manufacturer berths describe sleeping accommodation, not the number of people authorised on a charter. Give the operator a separate daytime guest count and overnight requirement. If children need particular sleeping arrangements, or one guest finds steps difficult, raise that before considering the room plan settled.

Look at the lunch arrangement

The F55’s cockpit and galley arrangement gives you useful questions to ask. Where would your party actually eat? Can everyone sit together under the offered shade? Who prepares and serves the food while the skipper handles the yacht? A meal delivered aboard and a staffed dining service can lead to quite different experiences and quotations.

More practical details

Request a photograph of the individual yacht’s cockpit in its normal guest setup. Seating can be rearranged, equipment can change and a promotional image may show options. Ask about the route between the swim platform, the main deck and the flybridge if guests will move often between those spaces.

A day is not a miniature travelling week

If you are tempted to add Cannes, discuss the total time and purpose before fixing the booking. The manufacturer’s maximum speed is not a timetable for your passage. A return deadline, sea conditions, fuel treatment and time reserved for lunch determine whether a broader route belongs in this request or a longer charter.

Send a useful F55 enquiry

Send a date and the hours your party can really spend aboard, then choose gulf time or a peninsula outline as the first priority. Name the F55 features you like and whether a comparable vessel would work. Ask each provider to identify the yacht and year, permitted guests, departure marina, crew role, fuel treatment and full cost. That lets you compare an arrangement instead of two similar photographs.
